Now I am veering on becoming 17 and yet I haven't once contemplated changing teacher or giving up lessons. He is a brilliant, warm, engaging and enjoyable teacher who helped me massively in achieving a series of grades, in composing my own music, in endless yet exciting discovery of new songs, and in exploring a variety of artists such as Beethoven, The Beatles, David Bowie, and Miles Davis, and a wide variety of genres such as Jazz, Funk, pop, R&B, and classical. He is a man who works tirelessly to improve me as a musician, and always seems to manage to deal effectively with my antics which seem to irritate the most patient of people. Dave has been an inspirational teacher- he has for me opened up a whole new way of seeing, hearing, and of course playing music, and he is one that I shall cherish forever.
